History:

At the outset we have commenced through our company; Kasthamandap Trading Circle in the year 1994 for supplies of transmission and distribution line materials to Nepal Electricity Authority in very difficult circumstances during Indo-Nepal border seal. We had served our country, Nepal with smile instead of huge loss. During this period there was not any Nepali EPC contractor and with our newly developed company; Fewa Trading Pvt. Ltd. we started and executed EPC contracts under World Bank IDA funding under Bhairahawa Lumbini Ground Water  Project like; 11 kV transmission lines, Upgraded Lumbini substation with ancillary equipments upgraded BOCB to VCB, extension of Jogikuti 132 kV Substation, bay extension of Palpa Batase Danda substation, Butuwal Chowk substation and cheered on our success.

We had worked with TATA Projects under Kaligandaki Butuwal and Kaligandagi Pokhara 132 kV double circuit transmission line foundations and completed on time. We also have awarded several contracts to Angelique International Ltd. like; Chapali 132 kV GIS substation, Hetaunda-Inaruwa 400 kV double circuit & multi circuit 90 kms line length, 33 kV underground cable works 8 kms at Chitawan National Park, 66 kV underground cabling works Lainchaur-Chabel and Chapali to Chabel 24 kms double ckt.  

Liaison jobs: 

We have awarded following Projects to different EPC contractors during past 6 years.

Mohan Energy Corporation Ltd.:  Mirchaiya-Solu 90 kms with ACSR Cardinal Conductor under Solu Corridor 132 kV Transmission Line and associated two AIS substations at Tinla and Mirchaiya.

Awarded 6 substations, one 132 kV transmission line with two associated AIS 132 kV substations to  Aravali Infra Power Ltd.

Awarded seven different projects to Pinggao Group Co., Ltd. under WB, EIB, Kfw, ADB funding including AMI meter contract.

Starting with BOCB  later we have registered our new company; Sahan Engineering Concern Pvt. Ltd and extended 132 kV GIS bay at lower Marsyangdi roof top substation and executed 220/132/33 kV GIS substations and Hybrid 220/132/33 kV substation too. Executed SCADA system at Middle Marsyangdi substation and integrated Damauli, Lower Marsyangdi, New Markichowk, Middle Marsyangdi substations with LDC, Kathmandu with due support of ABB and Siemens GMBH successfully.  

From 11 kV transmission line we have stepped to 132 kV and 220 kV double circuit transmission lines with Twin ACSR MOOSE and Twin AAAC  Drag conductor. All above projects were executed during COVID-19 lock down period and huge Earth Quake during which all construction materials and labour cost hiked tremendously damaging our balance sheet. Government have not contributed single penny and we consider this as investment for the development of country. 

Sahan Engineering Concern Pvt. Ltd. is legally registered Private Limited Company established in accordance with the rules and regulations of Government of Nepal having  office at Sunakothi, Dholahiti, Lalitpur-26, Nepal. 

We are working in the diverse field of Power Sectors like; EHV Transmission Lines, distribution system, hydropower projects, solar, GIS, AIS, Hybrid substations with pile foundations. We have our own devoted team for survey, soil investigation, experts to select viable transmission line routes with due study of geological stability of foundations, geo technical experts for tower protection works. Our team consists of civil engineers, electrical engineers, surveyors, geo technical engineers, geologists, CA, PLSCAD operators, Environmental experts, Safety engineers, Civil foundation construction team, tower erection team, stringing team including commissioning and testing experts.

We are equipped with 3 excavators with breakers, 2 JCBs with breaker, two four wheel trippers, two tractors, three four wheel mini trucks, compressor machines, DG sets, erection tools and tackles of our own which have been maintained in good condition till date.

Our motto firstly is safety and quality. We strictly follow the quality assurance plan, construct our own hygienic labor camp and kitchen, use safety boots, helmets, hand gloves, warning tapes, danger boards, and proper lighting, deploy security guards, and provide potable water and 24-hour health and hygienic awareness. Strict monitoring and supervising to ensure quality and prevent hazardness is always there to safeguard the workers during the execution period.

We have cube preparing boxes, prepare curing ponds, cube test universal machines to be conducted in each for batch mixing and supervisors to ensure proper curing.   

We do liaison well renowned multinational EPC Contractors who are most capable companies for the above mentioned fields under tender business and take up their local construction portion to ease them from local issues, Government formalities for import licenses, register them locally, obtain PAN and VAT registrations as is must. We also handle  Indo-Nepal custom clearances, Kolkata port clearance and local transportation up to site, unload smoothly, soundly and store properly and safe guard all equipment, materials and keep proper records.
